My First Goals, Talents for Peace is the soccer tournament promoted by the Uniban Foundation in the regions where we operate. This year, it reaches its fifth edition in the Magdalena department, serving as an integration activity that brings together children and young people around sports and peaceful coexistence.
My First Goals: Soccer and Coexistence
As an integral part of the action plans developed by our foundation, this sports tournament contributes to the consolidation of protective environments and culture through the comprehensive development of individuals and the promotion of values aligned with peacebuilding. This year, 28 sports training schools, in the U6, U8, U10, and U12 categories, are participating in this tournament. More than 2,000 children are involved, focusing on the productive use of free time, peaceful coexistence, and enjoyment of sports.
Thanks to the reception of this initiative, this year strategic allies from the territory such as Cortrabam, Asocomag, and the associated cooperatives Coobafrio, Emprebancoop, Coomulbanano, and Asobanarcoop are joining again. They are involved through the Fairtrade premium and the mayors’ offices of Zona Bananera, Aracataca, and El Retén. This inter-institutional alliance seeks to coordinate efforts to provide recreational spaces for communities and actions that project development for these neighboring environments.
With the realization of this tournament, our foundation continues to work for the communities of the Magdalena department, especially the children, young people, and families who are part of its processes, promoting peace and comprehensive health through sports discipline and a passion for soccer.
