Colombian Banana Congress: Towards Progress and Sustainability

We once again had the opportunity to participate in the 2nd Colombian Banana Congress, held in the Magdalena region, which was attended by over 1,800 people. This unique event has become one of the most important meetings of the agroindustry, bringing together all stakeholders interested in the development and strengthening of this productive sector of the country.

This event, which also included various discussion forums, allowed us to address the fundamental challenges facing the industry and to reflect on its immediate future, product quality, productivity, prices and agricultural inputs, fair wages for producers, and other topics of interest.

It is important to mention that at this forum we shared our experiences and the challenges that we at Uniban believe the industry must face to improve both national and international projections. As part of the global economy, this requires joint and coordinated efforts to build a path of progress and innovation, as well as the necessary technological advances to maintain the productivity and quality of the banana sector.
