Green Planet is an innovative and collaborative initiative that we seek to promote in order to foster collective environmental awareness practices.
As a company, we are aware that Colombia is one of the countries classified as megadiverse territories, a more than sufficient reason to take on the responsibility of working for its preservation and developing actions that involve the population in its care and protection.

Being a megadiverse country, in addition to being a gift, also represents a great commitment, which we decisively embrace alongside our foundation. For this reason, we have implemented various actions within the sustainability strategy defined by the company. These actions not only aim to raise environmental and sustainable awareness within our operational processes but also include innovative alternatives to preserve Urabá’s wildlife, such as reusing discarded materials from port activities to create ecological wildlife crossings and connect fragmented forest areas.
It is worth highlighting that one of the species on which we have focused our greatest conservation efforts is the cotton-top tamarin, an endemic species of Colombia that plays a crucial role in seed dispersal in tropical ecosystems. Unfortunately, it is one of the most threatened primates in the world and has been declared an endangered species.
For this reason, since 2022, we have led the Cabeza de Algodón project, which has been supported by workers from banana farms and young environmental leaders. To date, this initiative has allowed us to record 12 families and more than 75 individuals in various municipalities of the Urabá region.
In this way, we contribute to the preservation of ecosystems, as well as this and other species found in the regions where we operate, by creating collective environmental awareness around their conservation.
