Learning Expedition 2024

Learning Expedition: 17 delegates, 1 promising future

Share on:

We successfully concluded our Learning Expedition in Puerto Antioquia! Two days of intense learning and discovery.

This business mission, organized by CCI France Colombia and Eiffage, allowed us to learn about Urabá, its banana production, and the future port terminal, Puerto Antioquia. This multipurpose terminal is poised to transform Colombia’s competitiveness on the international stage by reducing transportation times and costs and opening the door to countless new commercial opportunities.

Learning Expedition: Innovation and Progress in Urabá

In recent days, we hosted delegates from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry France-Colombia, Eiffage, Servic Economic Regional Bogotá, and the Secretariat of Productivity and Competitiveness of the Government of Antioquia. Together, we conducted a business mission, guiding a detailed tour of the region. These visitors were able to learn in detail about the agro-industrial infrastructure that is being consolidated in this territory, as well as the advances of Puerto Antioquia, the megaproject that will begin operations in 2025. This project will handle high volumes of merchandise annually, including 650,000 TEUs per year.

Learning Expedition 2024

The importance of this Learning Expedition, besides showcasing the cultural, economic, and sustainable potential of this subregion of our department, is the opportunity it provides to present to these organizations the logistical infrastructure that Uniban possesses. This infrastructure has promoted and fostered the development of import and export commercial activities in recent years.

This visit was accompanied by our Logistics Services team, who, together with Eiffage, the construction company of Puerto Antioquia, facilitated the transportation of the visitors to the anchorage area. This geographic location in the Gulf of Urabá is where the company’s logistics operations are completed, both for loading goods that leave the Port Facility for international markets and for unloading goods entering our country.

It is worth noting that, in this process of exploration and recognition of our operations, carried out with these delegations, we highlighted the authorizations that Uniban possesses. These authorizations allow companies engaged in foreign trade activities to directly or indirectly access multiple customs benefits, a competitive advantage that makes us a strategic ally for the development of foreign trade activities.
