Over 17 years, our joint social investment has exceeded USD 4.4 million, of which USD 1.1 million corresponds to contributions from Fairtrade through its corporations. These resources have been allocated to the execution of projects related to economic development and infrastructure, education, and the environment, benefiting more than 7,000 families in both Urabá Antioqueño and the Magdalena department.

In the area of economic development and infrastructure, highlights include the construction of the Rosalba Zapata urbanization phases 1, 2, and 3; the improvement of educational institutions (including the construction of classrooms and the enhancement of school kitchens); the construction of parks and multi-sport courts; the socio-environmental strengthening of producers; and the improvement of packing facilities and irrigation systems.

In terms of education, we have contributed to strengthening local management and citizen participation; training for work and human development (with technical and technological programs); developing cultural skills in music and dance; and strengthening sports training schools, with an emphasis on values.

Finally, in our environmental line, we have advanced reforestation processes for climate change and the restoration of the Guandusaca and Palmichal streams in the municipality of Ciénaga, Magdalena.
