Polyban is a manufacturing company located in the Cartagena de Indias Free Trade Zone, in the Mamonal industrial corridor, the most dynamic petrochemical-plastic cluster in Colombia.
At this facility, plastics are manufactured for agriculture, primarily for bananas and plantains, with a presence in Colombia, Central America, and the Caribbean. The company has been able to reach these markets through a serious commitment to quality, agile customer service, and competitive commercial conditions.
Polyban has state-of-the-art extrusion and conversion equipment, with the capacity to process 7,800 tons of polyethylene bags, as well as polypropylene ropes and straps.
Polyban has maintained ISO 9000 certification since December 2000 for the «production and commercialization of agro-industrial plastic inputs.» It is also certified under the BRC – British Retail Consortium standard for the manufacturing of safe packaging for food, meeting the strict requirements set by the European Union.
