Finca Génesis: A Model of Commitment and Continuous Improvement
Recently, at Finca Génesis, we held a special commemorative event, gathering the entire team of this production unit to acknowledge their work, commitment, and readiness throughout the year to adopt changes and implement new initiatives aimed at improving productivity and sustainability.
The event was also attended by members of the executive committee, led by our president, Manuel Laborde, who emphasised the importance of teamwork and the implementation of continuous improvement practices to bring us closer to the goals set by the business strategy. It is worth highlighting that this farm has increased its productivity by 96% compared to the previous year, which has led to a reduction in waste, dropping from 30 points recorded in 2023 to 8 points this year. This significant progress has resulted in a greater number of boxes with produce available for export.
The event was also marked by integration and entertainment. Alongside the commemorative ceremony, we organised various activities such as competitions, games, music, and more. Among the highlights was the “Pig Master” contest, a culinary competition where teamwork was the key ingredient in preparing the best pork stew and the crispiest crackling. An activity that is part of the unique experience of being part of Uniban.
